Drinking Water Project

Drinking Water Project

Almighty Allah says: (and we made every living thing of water. Will they not then believe?) (Surah Al-Anbiyaa’/verse30)

Project Overview

Bombardment, death, displacement, and poverty here and there. With this few words we can summarize the harsh crisis that the Syrian people is suffering for years. This condition deprived them of the most important factor of human beings’ life, WATER It’s a blessing that the Syrian people are deprived of because of bombardment that targeted infrastructure, pollution that infected water sources which in turn caused many diseases to spread, and high expense of projects of extracting and distributing ground water.

Preconstruction Services

This severe crisis and the urgent need inspired Pertubuhan Peduli Insan Malaysia (INSAN CARE) to establish “Drinking Water Project” after a thorough study including targeted places, means of delivery and distribution,  obstacles, outcomes, and goals.

Based on the above, a plan was made for rehabilitation and operation of pre-existing water stations in Hama, Aleppo, Idlib, Southern Damascus, and Dara’a. Local councils are assigned to monitor and manage data, water distribution, and workers’ salary, taking into consideration that poor people are most in need of water because they cannot afford it compared to others .

Reliable & Experienced

The project -that is established as a result of a humanitarian crisis- has several main goals that aimed to use feasible alternatives:

  • Providing pure drinking water
  • Increase per capita water portion
  • Contributing in raising level of water security

The project has accomplished great results; water’s been delivered to around 100,000 person monthly.

That represents how much such projects are needed and that they need to be cared about and to be priority considering that residents and displaced people in targeted places are affected by water pollution, shortage, or sometimes absence.
